About Us
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta is one of the seven diplomatic missions of the Czech Republic in the dynamically developing Southeast Asia.
In addition to the Republic of Indonesia, the Embassy also covers Brunei Darussalam and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.
In multilateral relations, the Ambassador represents the Czech Republic in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) with the secretariat in Jakarta.
The Honorary Consulates of the Czech Republic in Sanur and Semarang and the Honorary Consulate General in Surabaya provide consular assistance to Czech citizens in need.
Visas to the Czech Republic are issued only by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta.
The European Union is represented in the Republic of Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam and ASEAN by the EU Delegation in Jakarta, which closely cooperates with the embassies of the member states. The EU also has its own representation in the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

The easiest way to get to the Embassy is by taxi. Jalan Gereja Theresia is a one-way street and the Embassy compound is almost at the end of the street near the gas station.

The telephone helpline serves to answer general questions regarding visas and residence permits and consular matters. Its purpose is not to answer questions regarding the current status of individual visas and residence applications or to book an appointment at the Consular Departement. It is to be noted that dozens of applicants contact the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta every day. Outside office hours (17:00-8:30 o´clock) and on national holidays and weekends, an emergency telephone line is available for citizens of the Czech Republic who find themselves in need (death, injury, loss or theft of a travel document, detention by the police, etc.). This telephone number is not intended for communicating general information regarding visa applications or current conditions of entry into the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. In case of emergency, you can also contact the honorary consulates of the Czech Republic in Indonesia according to your place of residence (Sanur, Surabaya, Semarang).
The Embassy is closed during the Czech public holidays.
