Other Legalisation and Certification Services

The Embassy provides legalisation and certification of documents to be used in the Czech Republic

SIGNATURE LEGALISATION

The Embassy legalises signatures on documents for use in the Czech Republic. A personal identification document - passport or national ID – of the signer is required.

To schedule an appointment please see APPOINTMENTS.

CERTIFICATION OF A COPY OF AN ORIGINAL DOCUMENT

If you require certification of a copy of an original document, you have to bring a copy and an original of the document and your valid passport on any working day upon prior appointment.

To schedule an appointment please see APPOINTMENTS.

NOTE: According to the Czech laws, the Embassy cannot certify a copy of a passport, an identity card, a driving licence, a gun licence and any other unique document which cannot be substituted by a copy. Furthermore, it is not possible to certify a copy of an original document with embossed text or stamp, bankbooks, cheques, lottery tickets and coupons, geometric or technical designs. The Embassy will neither certify a copy of an original document that conflicts with the Czech legislation or good manners, has modifications that could impair its credibility, or its originality may not be reliably evaluated by the Embassy.

CERTIFICATION OF TRANSLATION

The applicants are strongly advised to arrange for the official translation via an official translator, the list is available at http://www.kstcr.cz/en.  Only an unofficial translation of Police Clearance Certificate for visa process can be certified by the Embassy.
