Lodging of an appeal against short-term (Schengen) visa refusal/annulment/revocation has been subject to a fee of 60,- EUR since July 31, 2019. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic decides on the appeal within 60 days from its receipt from the Embassy at which the appeal is lodged.
With the amendment of the Act No. 326/1999 Coll. on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic, a fee for lodging an appeal against refusal/annulment/revocation of short-term (Schengen) visa has been introduced. The fee of 60,- EUR should be paid to the Embassy at the time of the appeal submission. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad accepts the fee only in cash in EUR.
Kindly note that the appeal must be submitted in paper form, duly signed by the applicant in no more than 15 days from the date when you receive the visa application refusal. The appeal together with the fee can be lodged only directly to the Embassy. It is not possible to submit it to the Visa Application Center (Gerry's) or to the Ministry.
The fee of 60,- EUR for an appeal processing is not requested from family members of EU nationals whose original visa application was accepted by the Embassy under the Directive 2004/38/EC.
Another change introduced by the amendment of the Act No. 326/1999 Coll. has been extension of the period for decision on the appeal by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic from 30 to 60 days. The period is counted from the date of the Ministry's receipt of the appeal from the Embassy which is not later than 5 working days from the date of the submission of the appeal by the applicant to the Embassy.
