The concert was a great success among the audience counting many fellow countrymen, Finnish friends of Czech culture and diplomatic staff..Music manager of the club Petteri Hasa expressed the enthusiasm of his own as well as of the audience by the words:”The choice of group perfect, the singer absolutely fabulous, the guitarist super. A wonderful evening!”.    .

Group/duo Půljablkoň (Michal Němec and Marie Puttnerová) was created from a well-known Czech experimental band Jablkoň. Půljablkoň plays and sings jazz, blues, folk and Czech and Moravian folklore songs, mostly spiritual, with simple instruments (man  and woman vocals, guitar and percussions). The band has also its own songs. The author of the own songs is a composer, singer and guitarist Michal Němec. The texts are written by him or a poetess Zuzana Wirthová. An expressive feature of this duo is besides its originality also exceptionally strong and clear voice of a young singer Marie Puttnerová. Půljablkoň has many successful concerts all over Czechia. In 2015 the album Půljablkoň – Němec and Puttnerová came out.

Michal Němec (1949) studied composition and conducting at the Prague conservatory of Jaroslav Ježek. In 1977 he founded the band Jablkoň known for its experiments and also for “excursions” into classic music. Immediately after the Velvet revolution in 1989 Němec took the advantage of the “opening the borders” to the West and started successful concert tours with his band in Western Europe (mainly in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France. Italy) but also in USA, Canada, Algeria etc. He is an author of hundreds compositions ranging from simple songs to huge symphonic compositions (e.g. CD Symphonic Jablkoň). Jablkoň band created during its activity several special projects: Jablkoň and Svěcený (with violin virtuous Jaroslav Svěcený), Malá lesní Jablkoň (folklore), Symphonic Jablkoň, Big Band Jablkoň and also chamber duo Půljablkoň. He recorded altogether 19 CDs (the last one Půljablkoň – Němec and Puttnerová). He composes also theatre and film music (e.g. Smradi). For his work he and Jablkoň band were awarded twice a Czech musical award Anděl   (Czech equivalent of Grammy Award).

Marie Puttnerová (1986) started to play violin and piano, later she was enchanted by singing. She has been singing from a very young age, at first at a children´s choir Skřivánek; she took part in several international festivals (Spain, Netherlands, France, USA, Japan). Then she was singing in a well-known Artistic Ensemble Ondráš (folklore music and dances) and cooperated with jazz musicians in Czechia as well as abroad (in Italy she formed an ensemble AmiCZi together with Italian pianist Domenico Sanna). She sang with an outstanding American jazzmen: pianist Aaron Goldberg (NYC), Skip Wilkins (on his last CD Czech Dreams) and guitarist Rory Stuart (NYC) in a concert programme they created together. Remarkable is also her long cooperation on projects of a composer Tomáš Šenkýřek (electronic music, folk). At present she is a permanent member of Jablkoň band, jazz-blues Kein Art Ensemble. She took part in many Jazz Festivals.
