Ambassador visited the Helsinki metro building site

Metrostav, a.s. is the most successful Czech company in export of services. The firm takes its own share in the biggest public contract in Helsinki. On November 4th, 2011, the priest of the Catholic Church blessed St. Barbara, Patron of miners. Metrostav invited Ambassador M. Tomčo and 1st Secretary J. Maruška to go round the building site.

On behalf of the Finnish investor Länsimetro OY, Matti Kokkinen welcomed Ambassador; Václav Pavlovský of Metrostav did the same. M. Kokkinen expressed satisfaction with the work Metrostav had carried out and admitted the cooperation could be continuing. Metrostav has made a very intricate section - the tunnel leads under the sea and also through densily populated area of Espoo. The visit also involved an underground „excursion" into the tunnel.
St. Barbara is placed at the entry of the access tunnel in Keilaniemi.
