The Záchranka app is now integrated with Finland's emergency number 112. Thanks to this innovation, Czech users of Záchranka can easily and efficiently call help during their trips to Finland.
Finland is a popular destination for Czech tourists, especially nature enthusiasts, winter sports fans and adventure seekers. Thousands of travelers visit each year to admire Finland's landscapes and culture or to work. The integration of the Záchranka app with Finland's emergency number 112 provides Czech users with easier access to emergency services. Just as they are used to calling for help via Záchranka in Czechia, they can now connect to 112 in Finland. The app automatically sends the caller's current location, significantly simplifying and speeding up emergency response.
In addition to Czech users, users of the Hungarian ÉletMentő app, the Austrian Rettung app and Slovakia's Mountain Rescue Service app will also benefit from this integration. These users will be able to contact Finland's emergency number just as easily in case of an emergency. According to the Záchranka app author Filip Maleňák, the long-term vision is to create a universal tool for calling help, regardless of where the user is located.
The project to connect the Záchranka app with Finland’s emergency number would not have been possible without key partners, the Vodafone Foundation.
