6) What to Do before Departure and after Arrival to the Czech Republic? |
|||
If you will change your travelling plans (dates, flights, accommodation etc.) before your departure, don't forget to report those changes to the Embassy (including relevant documents) by emailing visa_dublin@mzv.cz. Please, include your application number (it starts with "DUBL" on the visa sticker followed by 12 digits) or visa sticker number (starting with "CZE" in the upper right corner). Possession of a visa does not automatically guarantee entry into the Schengen Area. It is the exclusive authority of immigration authorities to allow or deny the entry of foreigners. Before your departure, read the following important information (you will get a copy with your passport) - format PDF or DOC. Third-country nationals older than 14 are obliged to register their accommodation address in the Czech Republic with the nearest foreign police department within 3 working days of entering the Czech Republic. This does not apply to persons staying in commercial accommodation facilities (i.e. in hotels, hostels etc.). Extension of the validity of your visa is possible only in exceptional cases, such as force majeure or for humanitarian reasons, which prevent the visa holder from leaving the territory before the expiry of the validity period or the duration of stay authorized by the visa. Application for visa extension shall be submitted to the Alien Police Department of the Regional Police Directorate having territorial competency according to the reported place of residence no sooner than 30 and no later than 7 days before the expiration of the current visa. |
