Ambassador's visit to Jutland

On 10 – 12 November 2015 the Czech Ambassador Jiří Brodský visited Jutland for the meetings with representatives from public, corporate and academic sector in the Aarhus, Horsens and Esbjerg regions. During all meetings he was accompanied by the Honorary Consul for Fyn and Jutland Mr Niels A. Brøchner.
In Aarhus, the Czech ambassador met the CEO of Jydsk Emblem Fabrik that produces a wide range of Danish merchandises for marketing. Afterwards, he visited the company Kamstrup, which is a world leading supplier of intelligent energy and water metering solutions. His next stop was the Port of Aarhus, the largest Danish logistics and container harbor that recently went through major development. Delegation’s program also scheduled an appointment with the executive manager of Flintholm Global Telemarketing providing B2B communication across the whole Europe.
The Ambassador had a lecture with the title “Economic Diplomacy - the Case of a Small Open Economy” on the Horsens campus of the VIA College University, followed by meeting Czech students. He also encountered with a prominent Danish design and architecture company Vola about their possible expansion on the Czech market. Later that day, he introduced the Czech investment climate to the Rotary Club in Horsens.
Final destination of the visit in Jutland was Esbjerg, where the Ambassador discussed possible future investments to the Czech Republic with the partners from Siemens Wind Power. The Czech Embassy in Copenhagen has been long cooperating with the Esbjerg Municipality; therefore, the Ambassador visited the City Hall and the Mayor Johnny Søtrup. The visitation in Jutland was concluded in the city of Ribe that has a historical value for Czech-Danish relations based on the queen Dagmar of Bohemia.
