Premiere of the Czech documentary “Sugar Blues” at CPH:DOX 2014

The Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival CPH:DOX 2014 presented again this year a Czech documentary on its program. This time the film Sugar Blues by director Andrea Culková was presented in the competition category F:ACT.
The festival hosted the world premiere of the Czech documentary in the presence of the filmmakers on Tuesday 11 November 2014 in the cinema Empire Bio. At the beginning of the evening the director Andrea Culková welcomed the guests. After the screening the audience had an opportunity to discuss the documentary´s topic together with the director. The program was followed by a little refreshment in the cinema foyer.
The cinema goers could see the movie in the same cinema also next day on Wednesday 12 November 2014 as part of the Baby Bio program which offers special screenings with reduced sound level and lighting for parents with small children. The last screening of the documentary took place on Sunday 16 November 2014 at Dagmar Teatret.
The F:ACT Award is dedicated to the best film in the field between documentary filmmaking and investigative journalism. The prize was introduced in 2013. This year 13 documentaries were nominated for it.
