On 25 February 2010, the Wine Club of the regional Hospital Lillebælt in Vejle prepared a tasting of British cider, Ukrainian sparkling wine, Danish and Moravian wine.
The first two drinks were presented by a doctor from the United Kingdom and a doctor from Ukraine who work at Vejle Hospital. The Danish wines were introduced by Leading Doctor Ejler Ejlersen and Doctors´ Director Hans Christian Thyregod. The Czech Ambassador, Zdeněk Lyčka, was asked to present the Moravian wine. He started his lecture with a powerpoint presentation in Danish called The Czech Republic – an Interesting Country in the Heart of Europe. Later on, the public of about 70 people saw the English version of the promotion film called Great Wine from a Small Country, made in cooperation with the Wine Fund of the Czech Republic.
The very tasting of two Moravian wines – Chardonnay 2005 (selection of grapes, Tanzberg Mikulov) and Green Veltliner 2005 (selection of grapes, village Perna, Miloš Michlovský) was arranged by Miroslav Hájek, PhD who is a researcher in molecular biology. During the last two years, he was working at the Hospital Lillebælt.
By this successful activity, the Czech Embassy has started cooperation with one of the best Danish regional hospitals, belonging to the region of South Jutland.
