“Pearls of the Deep” in Husets Biograf

On Tuesday 1 February 2022, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Copenhagen and Husets Biograf arranged a traditional film night. For February screening we have selected a film Pearls of the Deep (1965), which is considered one of the key films of so called Czech New Wave. The film is an adaptation of five short stories by Bohumil Hrabal, which were filmed by directors Jiří Menzel, Jan Němec, Evald Schorm, Věra Chytilová and Jaromil Jireš. With this film, we want to pay tribute to the author Bohumil Hrabal, who passed away 25 years ago.
