The Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival CPH: DOX 2020, which is taking place on 18 – 29 March, presents two Czech films on its programme. Films A Sarcophagus for a Queen and Caught in the Net will have an international premiere at the festival.
One of the biggest hits of the festival is a unique documentary by director Pavel Štingl A Sarcophagus for a Queen, picturing Danish artist Bjørn Nørgaard and a team of Czech glass artists in the Czech village of Pelechov near Železný Brod in the demanding process of creating a grave monument for Queen Margrethe II.
A film Caught in the Net by directors Vít Klusák and Barbora Chalupová will take part in the main competition of the festival. Focusing on children facing sexual harassment on the internet, the film helped to open up a public discussion about this topic, which is still more or less a taboo. Apart of the cinema version, the film will be available in a modified version for preventive school screenings.
