How to book an appointment for a short-term visa (Schengen visa) for applicants wishing to visit the Czech Republic for the following purposes only:

1) Business
2) Visiting family or friends
3) Cultural
4) Sport
5) Study or trainings
6) Medical reasons
7) Scientific researches
8) Conference

Conditions for Sending the Registration Email:


1) Emails must be delivered to the email inbox cairo.schengen@mzv.gov.cz

2) Each applicant can send only one email. If multiple emails are sent for one applicant within the specified period, the applicant will be automatically excluded from registration, even if the emails are sent from different email addresses. This service follows a strict 'one email = one applicant' policy and is not intended for accompanying persons. Each individual must submit their own registration request separately. 

3) Please be aware that the waiting period for an appointment might be 2 - 4 weeks and the application shall be submitted no later than 15 days prior to the expected journey. We advise to send the application request at least 7 weeks prior to the journey.

4) Citizens of countries other than Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Yemen and Palestine can participate in the registration only if they have been living in Egypt for more than 6 months based on non-touristic residence permit. A scan of this residence permit must be sent in the registration email along with the other attachments in PDF format.


Content Conditions of the Registration Email:

Individual appointments:


a) The registration email must be sent to the following email address: 


cairo.schengen@mzv.gov.cz


If your email is addressed to any other embassy email addresses in the CC field, it will be considered invalid and will be immediately discarded.


b) The e-mail must include following information about the APPLICANT:
 

1) Kindly ensure that the subject line includes only the chosen purpose, stated as a single word from the list above. 


2) Attachments to be sent in pdf format:


- A scan of the data page of the travel document/passport.
- Proof of the purpose of the intended trip, such as an official invitation from the inviting company, organization, or person, or an invitation letter issued by the Alien Police of the Czech Republic.

3) The body of the email should contain the following data/questionnaire:


Name:
Surname:
Date of birth:
Nationality:
Travel document No.:
Intended date of travel – arrival and departure:
The purpose of the stay:
Phone and e-mail: 

4) The email attachments should not exceed 2 MB per e-mail.

Important notice:


- Schengen visa appointment e-mail requests that will not contain above-mentioned attachments or will contain the attachment in different than above-mentioned format or will contain attachments exceeding the total of 2 MB per e-mail, will be considered invalid!

- The Embassy, upon receiving a valid request, confirms the appointment via e-mail. Appointments are granted exclusively according to the order of the incoming e-mails in the mailbox. The appointment date for submitting an application will be confirmed by e-mail in 15 days. If you do not receive a response within this period, it means your request was automatically discarded as it did not follow the given instructions. 

- Please note that attempts to send bulk registrations using software tools may be evaluated as spam by the antispam security of the domain mzv.gov.cz in the interest of ensuring the system's functionality for all applicants, resulting in such registrations being disregarded. Registration emails from senders who have activated the inability to reply in copy to the registration email will be excluded from registration.

- Failure to meet the above-mentioned requirements and conditions will result in an invalid registration, which will not be considered and will be excluded from processing without further response to the applicant.

- Appointment dates are final and unchangeable. Cancelled appointments cannot be replaced by other applicants. If the applicant cancels the appointment, a new appointment must be arranged via an e-mail by the same procedure. If the applicant does not turn up according the appointment day and time, the appointment is cancelled and a new appointment must be arranged via an e-mail by the same procedure.
