The Embassy is located near one of the main streets – Jianguomen, which intersects the northern end of the Tien An'Men Square (approx. 4 km east of the square). The CITIC Bank brown high-rise building is a good orientation point (Guo Ji Da Sha (际大厦 – sign on a roof) at the intersection of Jianguomen and Ritan streets. The main entrance to the Embassy is located approx. 200 m from this building on the Ritan Lu Street (坛路), opposite the St. Regis Hotel. Entrance to the consulate is located on the opposite side of the compound from the Jian Hua Street (华路).

To submit a long-term visa / residence permit application, schedule an appointment.

To submit a Schengen visa application, choose a visa center according to your address: Beijing, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Jinan, Kunming, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Xi´an.

Applicants submit Schengen visa applications in visa centers. Consulate receives applications directly only from applicants who are family members of EU citizens, holders of diplomatic, service or official (administrative) passports, members of official delegations, or persons travelling in urgent humanitarian situations. These categories of applicants can still choose to submit their applications in visa centers.

TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing accepts Schengen visa and long-term visa / residence permit applications from citizens of China and long-term/permanent residents in China who reside in these territorial districts:

municipalities – Beijing, Chongqing, Tianjin; provinces – Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Jilin, Liaoning, Qinghai, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunnan; autonomous regions – Guangxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Xinjiang. (Municipality of Shanghai and provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang fall under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General in Shanghai.)

Citizens of China need a visa for short-term (up to 90 days) and long-term (over 90 days) stays in the Czech Republic / Schengen Area.

Visa / residence permit fees are collected when applying in cash in Chinese jüan (CNY).

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing communicates in Czech and English when processing visa and residence permit applications. If the applicant understands neither of these languages, he/she must arrange for an interpreter when applying for a long-term visa / residence permit, at his/her costs. Examinations are conducted in Czech only. If the applicant does not speak Czech, he/she must arrange for an interpreter for the purposes of examination, at his/her costs.
