Legalization services including superlegalization of Ethiopian offical documents, translation verification and signature verification are provided on Mondays between 9.00 am and 11.00 am with the exception of those Mondays indicated on our website as closure days for operational/security reasons or because of the Czech/Ethiopian public holidays. 
No previous appointment is needed. 
The legalized documents are usually ready for pickup the next Monday between 9.00 am and 11.00 am.

Consular fees must be paid in cash in EUR according the current rate. 
Starting May 1, 2025 the embassy ONLY accepts payments in cash in EUR. There is no possibility to pay with a debit/credit card or in any other currency other than EUR.
Currently the consular fee for superlegalization is around 50 EUR (on request the embassy will provide information about the exact amount by email).

Please, be aware that the documents must be properly authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia before you bring them to the embassy. Also bring a copy of your passport as well.
IMPORTANT: In case of a QR Code authentication by MOFA, if the name of the athentication officer is missing, the embassy will not provide any legalization services due to the Czech Law. 

The embassy will not superlegalize any Czech documents and the embassy is not providing translation services of any kind.

DUE TO OPERATIONAL REASONS THE EMBASSY WILL ONLY ACCEPT LEGALIZATIONS OF THE CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS ACCOMPANIED WITH TRANSLATION TO CZECH LANGUAGE.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The embassy is NOT accepting any translations made by the translation company "Lucy Translation and Secretarial Service".
Any such a translation will be refused and will NOT be legalized.
If such a translation is part of a visa application, the visa application will be considered unacceptable!
