IMPORTANT: Consular and visa fees no longer accepted in Ethiopian Birrs!

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa hereby informs all the applicants that starting May 1, 2025,  the embassy is no longer accepting Ethiopian Birr for consular or visa fee payments.
All the consular and visa fees must be paid in EUR in cash. EUR is the only acceptable currency starting May 1, 2025.

IMPORTANT: The embassy will only be accepting the NEW series of EURO banknotes for security reasons and to prevent any frauds. Any banknotes that would be damaged or wrinkled will be refused immediately. Any banknotes from the OLD series will also be refused.
