Czech President Speaks to President-elect Donald Trump

President Zeman Accepts Invitation to Visit White House in April 2017
Czech President Miloš Zeman spoke over the phone with President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
In the conversation, the incoming US President, Donald Trump, appreciated the fact that the Czech President was “the only European President,” who supported him publically before the November election in the USA.
The new US President invited the Czech President for a visit to the White House. They agreed that the ideal opportunity will be at the end of April next year, when the Czech President will receive an award from Jewish organizations, which awarded Donald Trump last year.
The President of the Czech Republic also invited the US President-elect for a visit of the Czech Republic and this invitation was accepted.
Both statesmen further discussed common stances in regards to the war against Islamic terrorism. They also spoke about additional political and economic collaboration, which unite the two countries.
