
Invitation to participate at art competition Lidice 2019

Children and youth from 4-16 years, participate in the 47th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2019. It brings together young artists from all over the world who share the same aim: to commemorate the tragic event of 1942 through genuineness, creativity and passion to spread hope and a positive vision for the future. Join the project that is globally unique and received an award of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the Gratias Agit Award, in 2018.
n 2019, it will have been 150 years since the world saw for the first time Mendeleyev’s Periodic Table of Elements, one of the pillars of modern chemistry. Therefore, the theme, selected in cooperation with UNESCO, is something that pervades our lives, accompanying us wherever we go – from the soles of our shoes and the tarmac of our roads to the beauty of fireworks:

Eligibility criterias as well as application forms and a schedule are on the website. The deadline for submitting the works is February 15, 2019.
In 2018, there were nearly 30 000 entries from 79 countries. The jury awarded 1 246 works. 94 works were submitted from the US (5 schools and 11 individuals participated). Two Honorable Mentions were awarded to the collective work of Tennessee School for the Blind and to Annabelle Mohwish from the Czech School of Atlanta. Congratulations.
