Washington Jewish Film Festival: The Cremator

As part of the Washington Jewish Film Festival, the AFI Silver Theater will screen the classic 1969 horror film "The Cremator" (Spalovač mrtvol), directed by Juraj Herz on February 28, at 12:30 pm.
Ahead of its time, the blend of black comedy and horror in The Cremator is a stunning example of the Czech New Wave movement, gliding effortlessly between surrealism and expressionism.
