Theatrical Performance: Pankrác ’45

ExPats Theatre presents the performance Pankrác ’45 by Czech playwright Martina Kinská as part of a special "Czech night" at the Atlas Performing Arts Center on November 11, 2021, at 7:30 pm.

Tickets for the "Czech night" performance are half priced. We look forward to welcoming the Czech community and beyond to this extraordinary work. Please note: The play is performed in English. 

Synopsis: When the world turns upside down and the unthinkable happens, how far would you go to survive? Prague, 1945: The war is over – but revenge against Nazis and traitors has just begun. In Prague’s Pankrác prison, five women accused of Nazi collaboration share a cell. Each keeps a secret. Each knows the gallows await.

Join us for a gut-wrenching play about human relationships, exploring questions of guilt, responsibility, betrayal and survival.

The play features Karin Rosnizeck as Adina, Lisa Hodsoll as Julča, Stacy Whittle as Lída, Sara Barker as Hana, and Aniko Olah as Nova. It is co-directed by Melissa Robinson and Karin Rosnizeck, with Kate Foster as assistant director. The play is performed in English.

The play is presented in partnership with the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
