Film and Beer: Želary

Bistro Bohem will screen director Ondřej Trojan's "Želary" as part of the ongoing Film and Beer Series. In the film, a nurse named Eliška and her lover Richard are part of a resistance movement in 1940s Czechoslovakia. When they are discovered, Richard flees, and she must find a place to hide. Ultimately, a patient whose life she has saved agrees to hide her as his wife in his remote mountain village. (Dir. Ondřej Trojan, 2003, 142 min.)
