Czech Street Party Celebrates 75 Years of Czech-Mongolian Relations with Music, Art, and Community

On 7 June 2025, the second edition of the Czech Street Party took place in Mongolia’s capital city, in front of the Embassy of the Czech Republic. The outdoor event was held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and Mongolia.
The celebration began on Saturday morning and continued into the evening hours. It offered a wide range of activities focused on friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The atmosphere was enhanced by live performances from the Mongolian Conservatory, a jazz quartet, and the legendary band Shar airag.

In cooperation with Czech and Mongolian entrepreneurs, food stalls were set up for visitors – traditional Czech food and Czech beer were served. Local vendors also presented their products, including Czech glass, cosmetics, and services such as book translation and tourism consultation.

For children, a bouncy castle was prepared along with colourful chalk for participating in creative competitions. The entire happening took place in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and visitors thoroughly enjoyed the event. The musical part of the programme blended Mongolian, Czech, and Slovak music and concluded with a DJ set.

The stage also hosted presentations by event partners, a puppet theatre performance, and the festive announcement of the results of the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.

The event attracted approximately one thousand visitors from both the Mongolian and international communities living in Ulaanbaatar. It significantly contributed to strengthening Czech-Mongolian relations and to the promotion of Czech culture and education.
