The "Europe Square" cultural event was ceremonially opened by Traian Hristea, Head of the European Union Delegation in Mongolia, and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, S. Amarsaikhan, with the participation of most resident and non-resident ambassadors of EU Member States.

The Czech calligrapher Fux Karachovic presented his art together with Mongolian colleagues and Mongolian stage designers, who will attend the Prague Quadrennial in June. Czech Business Center and Czech products from Emco, Botanicus, Dermacol, Tescoma, Tonak and Plzeňský Prazdroj were also represented. The famous Prague “sausage” klobása was also very popular among guests.

The presentation included stands of Czech NGOs operating in Mongolia: Caritas CZ and People in Need. Visitors to Europe Day could also obtain visa information at the VFS stand, which accepts the  applications for short-term Schengen visas for the Czech Republic and five other Member States represented by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar on the visa agenda.
