The 7th Meeting of the Joint Committee in Prague

The 7th Meeting of Czech-Mongolian Intergovernmental Joint Committee took place in Prague on 9-10 April 2018. Together with the government delegation, Mongolian business mission participated in the project of economic diplomacy (PROPED) in Prague and Brno, Czech Republic.

Mongolian delegation was led by Ms. Sarangerel Davaajantsan, Minister of Health. From the Czech side the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Eduard Muřický, was chaired in the Joint Committee.

Apart from the expert meeting and the subsequent plenary session of the Joint Committee, two business seminars, visits to Brno exhibition, fair trade and Czech factories took place in the Czech Republic.

The 7th Meeting of the Czech-Mongolian Joint Committee was prepared by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. Its aim is to support mutual business and economic relations, export of Czech products and technologies to the Mongolian market and support for ongoing and future business projects. The signed final protocol deals with the detailed intentions of specific Czech and Mongolian companies, especially in the fields of energy, agriculture and forestry, environment, mining, health and infrastructure modernization (including general aviation development).

On the occasion of the 7th Meeting of the Czech-Mongolian Joint Committee was signed a memorandum between the Prague ZOO and the Mongolian Ministry of Environment. Director of ZOO Praha Miroslav Bobek said that thanks to this document, Zoo Praha in Mongolia will not only engage in the protection of Prevalski horse, but also mongolian sagi, wild camel and other species.
