Czech Chamber of Commerce Business Delegation Visits Mongolia

From 20 to 26 September 2026, a business delegation organised by the Czech Chamber of Commerce and led by Vice-President Radek Jakubský visited Mongolia. Representatives of Czech companies met with Mongolian partners in Ulaanbaatar and Dundgobi Province. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ulaanbaatar helped prepare the joint programme and business forums with partners as part of its PROPED program, project for promoting economic diplomacy.

The delegation included representatives from engineering, food processing, crop protection, healthcare, architecture and design services, logistics, tourism, insurance and recruitment services. The visit aimed to develop business contacts and identify concrete opportunities for cooperation in the Mongolian market.

On Tuesday, 22 September, the delegation was received in Mandalgovi by the Governor of Dundgobi Province, S. Munkhchuluun. This was followed by a Czech–Mongolian business forum organised in cooperation with the Governor’s Office and the local branch of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI). In his opening remarks, Ambassador Jan Vytopil highlighted opportunities for cooperation in agricultural processing, equipment supplies for local businesses and tourism development.

On Thursday, 24 September, a second business forum took place at MNCCI headquarters in Ulaanbaatar, featuring presentations by Czech companies and bilateral business meetings. Ambassador Vytopil emphasised the longstanding personal and professional ties between the two countries, opportunities to apply Czech technical expertise and the shared interest in expanding bilateral trade.

The delegation was also received by Jadamba Bayasgalan, a member of the State Great Khural. The programme included meetings with representatives of Mongolia’s ministries responsible for economic development, labour and social protection. At Khan Bank, participants learned about Mongolia’s banking sector and macroeconomic environment. Visits to Mongolian manufacturing and logistics companies complemented the programme.

Vocational training and labour mobility were important themes of the visit. The delegation visited a vocational school in Erdene soum and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. During the mission, the Czech Chamber of Commerce presented plans for a digital portal designed to simplify recruitment of workers to the Czech Republic and make the process more transparent. Discussions emphasised vocational and language training, transparent recruitment conditions and access to clear information for applicants.

The Embassy will continue working with the Czech Chamber of Commerce and MNCCI to develop Czech–Mongolian trade relations and identify opportunities for Czech businesses.
