The Memorandum of Cooperation in Aviation Sector was signed, November 23rd, 2021, by Jan Sechter, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic and Bat-Erdene Jalavsuren, Deputy Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, through a video conference. During the conference, the sides discussed the implementation of main points of the Memorandum.
The signing of the memorandum gives an impetus for the further development of long-term relations in civil aviation between the two countries, which follows on from the intergovernmental agreement between the Czech Republic and Mongolia on air services concluded in Ulaanbaatar in 2017.
The signatories of the Memorandum are interested in deepening cooperation in information sharing and experience in general aviation, training of aviation experts, development and production of aircrafts, ensuring aviation safety, and setting rules and regulations. Since the adoption of the Mongolian National Civil Aviation Development Plan, the Czech Republic has become the first country with which Mongolia concluded an agreement on closer cooperation in the sector.
Ambassador Jiří Brodský and economic diplomat Vardan Khachatryan took part in signing the Memorandum at the Ministry of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, on behalf of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Mongolia.
