The Czech DIVR Labs has been developing Location-Based Virtual Reality (LBVR) technology for many years, providing game contents designed for the virtual reality sector. In addition, the company produces original games ranging from action games where players fight with zombies to exploring the prehistoric world of dinosaurs. The games are designed to stimulate the players’ senses using 4D elements such as vibrations and wind.

DIVR Labs recently participated in the Czech booths at XR Fair Tokyo and Tokyo Game Show exhibitions as a part of the Project of Economic Diplomacy (PROPED) of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo, introducing its own technology and game concepts. By attending in these exhibitions, the company was able to find a Japanese local partner, AEON MALL KIDSDREAM LLC.

The first achievement of this collaboration is the opening of VR experience arena in Yokohama World Porters in Yokohama, the second-largest city in Japan with a population of around 4 million people. Czech Ambassador Martin Klučar, as well as Ondřej Bach, co-founder of DIVR Labs, and Hisayuki Suematsu, president of AEON MALL KIDSDREAM LLC. attended the ceremony. The Czech company is now hoping to go beyond, and it is already planning to expand game arenas to other major cities in Japan with their local partner.
