On Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Okayama Prefecture, the Ambassador's Cup of the Czech Republic, made of Czech crystal, was presented at the 43rd Sanyo Women's Road Race Tournament.

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Okayama Prefecture, the 43rd annual marathon Sanyo Women's Road Race Tournament took place at the prefecture's athletic stadium. This year´s marathon winner, Kaede KAWAMURA, was awarded with the crystal Cup of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic handed over by Mr. Ondřej Svoboda, Economic diplomat of the Embassy on behalf of Ambassador.

The awarding at the women's marathon in Okayama by the Czech ambassadors in Japan began in 1990, and this year it is already the 34th award ceremony. The well-known athlete Kinue Hitomi (1907-1931), the first Japanese Olympic medallist with ties to the Czech Republic, also comes from Okayama. Nowadays, Olympian and long-distance runner Yuko Arimori, is also a native of Okayama.
