The Ambassador's Cup for Daikin Orchid Ladies Golf Tournament was created at a time when the Czech Republic opened an honorary consulate in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, in 2020 deepening the friendship between the Czech Republic and Japan. This initiative was supported by Mr. Noriyuki Inoue, chairman of the tournament and also chairman of the board of Daikin Industries, which has two bases in the Czech Republic. Thus, another new exchange linking the Czech Republic and Okinawa was born.

Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Naha, Mr. Hidenobu Inamine, attended this year's ceremony of the tournament on behalf of the Ambassador and presented the Czech hand-cut crystal Ambassador's Cup to the winner of the tournament. It was the second time in a row that the Ambassador's Cup of the Czech Republic was presented at this tournament.
