Visit of the delegation of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic to Japan

Visit of the delegation of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Mr. Radek Vondráček, and of the Defense Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, headed by its chair, Ms. Jana Černochová, took place between 14 and 18 May 2018.
During its stay in Japan, the delegation of the Chamber of Deputies was received by Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Shinzo Abe, and by Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan, Mr. Tadamori Oshima. The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies was received by Crown Prince Naruhito. The delegation also met members of the Security Committee of the House of Representatives, headed by its chair, Mr. Minoru Terada, and State Minister of Defense Mr. Tomohiro Yamamoto and other high officials of the Ministry of Defense. The delegation also visited the city of Sakai where it was received by the Mayor of Sakai, Mr. Osami Takeyama, and the aircraft plant of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries company in Gifu.
On the occasion of the visit of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Japan, Mr. Tomáš Dub, gave a reception held in the premises of the Embassy.
All meetings took place in a very friendly atmosphere and confirmed the excellent level of relations between the two countries as well as their willingness to develop them further in all fields.
