The premises of the National Diet of Japan hosted the Meeting of the OECD Global Parliamentarian Network in Tokyo (12-13 April 2016), first of its kind in the Asian region. 

 

A number of interesting and inspiring contributions were given during the meeting which was moderated by the secretary general of the OECD, Mr. Gurría. The lecturers concentrated on four main topics:

 

- Global Economic Outlook

- Women as Driver of the Economic Growth

- Disaster Risk Management

- Regional Challenges

 

The Czech Republic was represented by Mr. Petr Gazdík, vice-speaker of the Chamber of Deputies od the Parliament.
