The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Japan highly values its collaboration with MP’s from both chambers of the Diet of Japan who are members of the  Japan-Czech Friendship League. MP’s from virtually all important Japanese political parties are represented among 31 members of the League. Both sides agreed to renew the tradition of regular yearly meetings of members of the League with the staff of the Czech Embassy. The participants of the Assembly were addressed by Mr. Hajime Funada, president of the League, and Mr. Tomáš Dub, ambassador of the Czech Republic to Japan. Czech diplomats and representatives of Czech agencies in Japan (CzechCentre, CzechInvest, CzechTourism) then informed their honoured guests about the development of cooperation of the Czech Republic and Japan in political, cultural and economic fields. The Embassy of the Czech Republic highly appreciates the fact that despite the extraordinary working strain connected with recent tragic events in the Kumamoto region of Kyushu, a large number of MP’s found time for attending the Assembly.
