Visit of the delegation of the Prague City Hall in Tokyo and Kyoto

A delegation of the Prague City Hall headed by Mayor of Prague, Ms. Adriana Krnáčová, visited Tokyo and Kyoto on March 7 to 10. The delegation also comprised Mr. Jan Wolf, member of the Prague City Council responsible for cultural affairs, and Ms. Eliška Kaplicky Fuchsová, member of the Prague City Assembly.
On March 7, Mayor of Prague gave a speech at the opening of the exhibition of the cycle of huge paintings called „Slav Epic“ by the famous Czech painter Alfons Mucha in the National Art Center of Tokyo. On March 8, Ms. Krnáčová was received by Governor of Tokyo, Mr. Yuriko Koike.
On March 9 and 10 the delgation participated in the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the partnership between the cities of Prague and Kyoto. Together with Mayor of Kyoto, Mr. Daisaku Kadokawa, Ms. Krnáčová signed a document on the future cooperation of both cities. The delegation also took part in the tea ceremony and dinner which took place in the State Guest House of Kyoto. To honour the delegation of the Prague City Hall, Mr. Kadokawa also gave a reception which was attended by high representatives of the city of Kyoto.
