Trade License in the Czech Republic

A foreigner intending to pursue a business activity in the Czech Republic, which is a trade pursuant to the Act no. 455/1991 Coll., on trade enterprise as amended, is authorized to pursue such activity only upon a duly issued trade license. A foreigner being a natural person residing or a legal entity domiciled outside of the Czech Republic (pursuant to the said Act) shall approach the trade license office having local competence and notify of a trade or apply for the issuance of a license.
A foreigner intending to pursue a business activity in the Czech Republic, which is a trade pursuant to the Act no. 455/1991 Coll., on trade enterprise as amended, is authorized to pursue such activity only upon a duly issued trade license.
A foreigner being a natural person residing or a legal entity domiciled outside of the Czech Republic (pursuant to the said Act) shall approach the trade license office having local competence and notify of a trade or apply for the issuance of a license.
In case of a foreigner not establishing an organizational unit of his enterprise in the Czech Republic the said office shall mean a trade license office <http://www.businessinfo.cz/cz/clanky/statni-sprava/adresar-zivnostenskych-uradu/1000443/8082/?fornewsid=8082> having local competence according to the place of the permitted residence within the Czech Republic. If no local competence of a trade license office may be determined for the said foreigner, the trade license office having local competence shall be determined according to the place of business of the said foreigner in the Czech Republic.
A foreign natural person establishing an organizational unit of enterprise in the Czech Republic shall notify of a trade or apply for the issuance of a license to the trade license office <http://www.businessinfo.cz/cz/clanky/statni-sprava/adresar-zivnostenskych-uradu/1000443/8082/?fornewsid=8082> having local competence according to the place of the organizational unit of the enterprise in the Czech Republic.
A foreign legal entity shall notify of a trade or apply for the issuance of a license to the trade license office <http://www.businessinfo.cz/cz/clanky/statni-sprava/adresar-zivnostenskych-uradu/1000443/8082/?fornewsid=8082> having local competence according to the place of the organizational unit of the enterprise in the Czech Republic
If already in business in the Czech Rrepublic
When notifying of a trade or applying for the issuance of a license a foreign natural person pursuing or having pursued business in the Czech Republic shall present a certificate of the status of tax arrears. This document shall be issued in situ upon request of the applicant by the tax office having local competence (Act no. 337/1992 Coll., on tax and charges administration as amended).
The above person shall also present a certificate of zero social security and national employment policy fee payment arrears if pursuing or having pursued business in the Czech Republic; this document shall be issued upon request of the applicant by the social security administration office having local competence (Act No. 582/1991 Coll., on organization and administration of social security as amended).
