Online media have had an immense development over the last years, however, there is not enough data on the number of these media neither on the way they are financed, and even the impact of fake news has been unclear. Thea aim of the project is to link online media with the constitutional right to information and personal freedom, to research on the current situation and possibilities of intervention, to organize and online survey and open forums for experts, civil society, students and journalists.

The second project called Media and EU Integration. Narratives and Image of the EU in Albanian Media is implemented by is the Albanian Media Institute (AMI). Albania is at an important stage in its relations with the European Union. View of EU differs in different periods as well as the role of third actors. Except for the research study on the image of EU in Albanian media the project will also support independent information portals where articles on this topic will be published. Part of the project are also seminars for journalists where, in addition to presenting the findings and recommendations of the study, topics like freedom of speech, human rights and digital transition will be discussed.
