The Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Tirana, Mr. Karel Urban, ceremoniously handed over on 30^th March 2023 a neonatal incubator and a neonatal transport bag to the director of the Koço Gliozheni Maternity Hospital Dr. Genci Hyska. These technologically advanced devices were donated to the hospital as part of the Czech Development Cooperation Project.

The neonatal incubator was produced by the Czech company TSE and the neonatal transport bag by the Czech company EGO Zlín.

The Czech Republic finances at least one development aid project in the health sector every year in Albania. In past years, the Czech Embassy helped to equip a children's playroom and a visiting room for parents at the oncology department of the Children's Hospital in Tirana and supplied various diagnostic equipment to the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center.

This year the Czech Embassy in Tirana will support the production of limb prostheses by NGO “Hope for Life” and donate several hospital beds for Mother Teresa University Hospital Center.

The Czech Republic is a traditional producer of high-tech medical equipment and has one of the best healthcare systems in the EU.

Sharing healthcare knowledge and products with Albania will undoubtedly contribute to the further deepening of Czech-Albanian economic and trade relations.
