
Visit of the delegation of the Military History Institute Prague in Albania

The delegation of the Military History Institute Prague (MHI) visited Albania November 21 – 23, 2016. The delegation was received by Brig. Gen. Dedë Prenga, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces , Col. Ruzhdi Kuçi, Commander of the Albanian Armed Forces Academy and by the top management of the Albanian Museum of Albanian Armed Forces.
The delegation was headed by the Director Col. Aleš Knížek who was accompanied by members Col. Michal Burian, Deputy Director and Col. Pavel Löffler, Director of the Foreign Relation Department.
During the visit, the delegation was received by Brig. Gen. Dedë Prenga, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces (AAF), Col. Ruzhdi Kuçi, Commander of the Albanian Armed Forces Academy and by the top management of the Albanian Museum of Albanian Armed Forces.
The above mentioned meetings gave the delegation a considerable insight into a unique contribution to strategic-level education and research made by the Albanian Armed Forces Academy (AAFA), as well as the opportunity to have a fruitful discussion between the MHI and the AAFA. The Czech delegation also visited weapons exhibition in the Albanian Military Museum.
Additionally, the visit strengthened the partnership between Czech and Albanian military museums within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2008. The experts of the Albanian Military Museum were invited to visit the Czech Republic and the MHI.
