
The Committee on European Affairs of the Czech Senate visits Tirana

Members of the Committee on EU Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited Tirana from May 18 till May 21, 2015. The Delegation was led by Senator Václav Hampl, Chairman of the Committee. Other members of the Delegation were Senator Jaroslav Doubrava, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Senator Zdeněk Besta and Senator Luděk Jeništa.
Delegation from the Czech Senate held meetings with H.E. Kladja Gjosha, Minister of the European Integration of the Republic of Albania, with Ms. Majlinda Bregu, Chairwoman of the Committee for EU Integration of the Albanian Parliament and Ms. Arta Dade, Chairwoman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament. The delegation was received also by H.E. Ilir Meta, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania and by Deputy Speakers Mr. Edmond Spaho.
The progress of Albania in the EU integration process and its fulfilment of five key priorities, especially the justice reform, to be met for the opening of the accession negotiations were in center of the discussion at all meetings. Attention was also paid to the Albanian evaluation of the situation in the region.
