"Melodies Across Borders" Marks Czech Statehood Day in Tirana

To mark Czech Statehood Day—commemorated by the Czech Republic on September 28, the feast day of St. Wenceslas—a concert titled "Melodies Across Borders" was held at the University of Arts in Tirana. The evening, which brought together Czech and Albanian musical traditions, was organized by the Czech-Albanian Friendship Centre in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tirana.

Performed by a wind quintet, the concert featured a program of works by both Czech and Albanian composers. Czech music was represented by compositions from Antonín Dvořák, Václav Trojan, and Anton Reicha, while Albanian music was showcased through works by Çesk Zadeja, Klodian Qafoku, and Endri Sina.

Among the guests were also representatives from the Committee on European Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, who were visiting Albania at the time.
