Czech Stories interpreted in Kadare House, Tirana

In the framework of cultural activities that celebrate the 100th Anniversary of diplomatic relations Czech Republic – Albania, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tirana, in cooperation with Kadare House, held a literary event with the excellent students from “Gjergj Fishta” School titled “Interpreted Tales”.

Talented actor Iris Canaj, invited as the special guest, made the class very thought provoking, fun and interactive by interpreting famous Czech fairy-tales and stories from the renowned Czech writer, playwright and critic, Karel Čapek.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Mission Mrs. Monika Kazdova, introduced to the children interesting and fun facts from the life in Czech Republic, especially the Czech culture, most common outdoor activities and sports, food and some modern history of Czechia.

The pupils enjoyed the Czech tales and got very much involved making the event quite vivid. They pointed out the beautiful, and sometimes hidden, messages in these tales, and proposed the actress to read also from the Albanian myths and legends. In the end, the pupils shared their immediate thoughts, exchanged ideas and understood a bit more about the Czech culture through literature.
