The meeting of students and teachers of the geography programs at the Faculty of Science, Charles University, at the embassy in Tirana.

A group of students of programmes in geography and their pedagogues at the Natural Sciences Faculty of the Charles University of Prague that field-visited Albania were received at the Czech Embassy on 3 and 12 September 2025.
Students of masters programmes, such as Global Migration and Development Studies nad Political ansd Regional Geography prevailed in the visiting group. In the two encounters and discussions with the Ambassador and his Deputy, political, economic, social and security situation in the country were presented. Discussions, incl. the visitors‘ impressions from their travels in Albania, focussed on the rapid growth of tourism and its sustanability, environmental dimensions of development, incl. water and waste management as well as protection of environment and nature. The visitors, in their own words, were strongly and positively impressed by Albanian nature and monuments as well as by a visible progress in public infrastructure. On the contrary, they saw great challenge in road traffic with a disrespect for rules or neglect of order and cleanliness by the public at large.
