Long-Term Visa vs. Residence Permit

If you intend to study at a primary school a secondary school or a conservatory, not within an exchange programme or professional training for remuneration, apply for the long-term visa. In other cases of studies defined in § 64 of the Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic, apply directly for the issuance of a long-term residence permit for the purpose of studies pursuant to § 42d of the Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic. Long term visa for the purpose of study: study program is certificated by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic. A document on enrolment in studies shall also be submited. The application form can be found here.

此類適辦長簽之留學課程為捷克教育部認可之正規教育學程,學校核發之入學許可函件應列有相關證明文號.  簽證申請表如附.

Long term residence permit for the purpose of study: study program is certified by the Ministry of Education. The certificate of study or acceptance letter provided by Czech University must be also provided.  For more information about necessary documents to submit please refere here. 長期就學居留簽證(Long term residence permit for the purpose of study):

此類適辦居留簽證之留學課程為捷克教育部認可之正規教育學程,學校核發之入學許可函件應列有相關證明文號. 此類長期留學居留簽證適用停留超過6個月以上之簽證申請.

Long term visa for the purpose of others: other cases of stay for education purposes - study program is not cerified by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic. These are mainly language courses, other education courses, exchanges studies, etc.  The application form can be found here.

長期學習簽證(Long term visa for the purpose of others) :

此類適辦學習簽證之課程泛指一般非正規教育學程,不經過捷克教育部註冊之進修研習課程. 如語言進修;學術交流研習....等. 申請表如附

Where can I apply?

該去何處提出申請?

Please apply in the Czech Economic and Cultural Office ( CECO ) in Taipei. Only in duly justified cases, the holders of taiwanese passport can submit the application at any of Czech Embassies/Consulates abroad. Howewer it is highly recomended to apply in CECO Taipei.

What Items are required to file the application?

申請簽証所需文件?

1) Duly completed application form ( links above or available for free at our office )

2) Valid passport ( the validity of your passport must be at least 3 months longer than the estimated length of your  stay in the Czech Republic)

3) Acceptance into the study issued by the respective University in the Czech Republic in Czech language.

4) Funds to cover your stay – a document proving the possesion of sufficient financial funds for the entire period of the stay. This can be proven by presenting an internationally recognised credit card on applicant´s name and by submitting the ballance statement from appplicants´s bank account (the same bank as presented credit card). Minimum required account ballance for a student´s stay is 180.000NTD - no matter how long is stay in CR.

5) A document providing an accommodation will be ensured during the entire period of your stay. In case of lease, the document must be signed by both sides of contract (the owner of the property and the applicant).

6) An extract from the Register of Criminal Records ( this is not required from applicants under the age of 15). It must be verified by MOFA Taiwan and accurately translated into Czech language (the translation from Google translator will not be accepted) !

7) 2 passport size photographs

 All documents must be presented in the original or the notarized copy and must not be older than 180 days !!!

  申請簽証所需文件:

1)填寫完整之申請表(申請表可在本處官網免費下載)

2)有效之護照(護照有效期在簽證到期後仍有3個月以上之效期)

3)捷克校方核發之原件捷克文版入學許可.

4)在捷克停留期間所需費用之財力證明,需提供申請人名下(非附卡)之全球通用的信用卡

及本人名下同發卡銀行所開立之正本英文存款證明.  就讀一學期或一學年所需之財力證明皆須新台幣180.000 (新台幣壹拾捌萬元)以上.

5)在捷克停留期間之住宿證明, 請提供經租賃雙方(房屋所有人及簽證申請人)共同簽名

之正本租賃合約書為憑據.

6)無犯罪紀錄證明(俗稱良民証)(未滿15歲之申請人免提供). 此良民証需經法院或民間

   認証人之公證後, 再經台灣外交部領事事務局之驗證, 另需備妥良民証捷克文譯本隨同

    正本一併送交本處(本處恕不受理網路翻譯軟體之捷克文譯本)

7)標準護照照片尺寸大小之近照2張.

上述必備申請資料皆須為正本或經公證等同正本效力之副本文件, 且上述資料均在文件核發日期後180天內有效.

How long does the process take?

簽證審核期多久?

The standard deadline for procesing the application for long-term visa and long term residence permit for the purpose of study is 60 days since the day of submitting.

The standard deadline for proceeding of the application for visa for the purpose of others is usually 90 days since the day of submitting.

 

!!! Every applicant who fails to submit his/her application form at latest the period mentioned above in advance before start of his studies, takes the risk that he/her will not be able to start his studies on time !!! Due to the latest experience with delay of receiving the approvals of applications for various reasons, the applicants are highly recomend to submit their application as soon as possible!!!

 

 !!!申請人請務必依上述簽證審核期所需時間儘速遞件,以免耽誤就學日期.然近日發生多起因為各種原因,造成簽證延誤案例.即簽證申請雖已逾法定簽證審核期,但本處仍未收到簽證核准函因而造成申請人之困擾.基於此現象,本處強烈建議申請人及早遞件以免影響既定之行程!!!

 

The authority with power to adjudicate visa/residence permit applications is Imigration Department of Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic (OAMP MV ČR). Therefore CECO has no power to influence the time of proceeding  and Imigration Department does not share the reasons of  any delay of the process.

根據法規上述長期留學簽證,長期就學居留簽證及長期學習簽證,審理單位為捷克內政部移民司(OAMP MV CR). 本處依法無權干涉上述簽證之審查過程及進度,審理單位依法也不需告知本處簽證核准進度延誤之原因.

What should I do after receiving the approval of the visa?

收到本處簽證核准函通知後該辦哪些手續?

After receiving the approval a consular official from the Czech Economic and Cultural Office will ask you (by e-mail) to visit the office for the second time and to collect your visa.

In case of residence permit, the visa represents only temporary permit to travel to the Czech Republic and it is valid only for sixty days stay. Within 3 working days from your arrival to the Czech Republic you must visit the Immigration Department to register your stay and to apply for your residence card. The card will be issued within 60 days.

The long term residence permit can be collected at Immigration Department even during applicant´s legal stay in the teritory of CR for another purpose than on the visa for taking permission of long term residence (as non visa requred traveler, holder of visa for another purpose, etc).

In case of visa application, the visa will be issued for period 180 days maximum and it can be extended at Immigration Dapartment in Czech Republic. Within 3 working days from your arrival to the Czech Republic you must visit the Alien Police to register your stay in CR.

Long term visa can be collected only at the same office where the application was submited.

To collect visa at CECO in Taipei, applicants must present a contract of health insurance valid for all the period of the study.

Holders of all mentioned permissions for stay in CR do not need another visa to travel to all Schengen countries, Switzerland or Liechtenstein. They may stay visa-free on the territory of  Schengen countries for up to 90 days during 180 days period. .

本處收到核准函後,會以電子郵件通知細節並請申請人親自前來本處領貼簽證.細節如下:

 -長期就學居留簽證(Long term residence for the purpose of study):

上述居留簽證申請人前來本處領貼之簽證為短期停留最長至60天之入境簽證. 於抵達捷克後3個工作天內需至捷克移民司相關處所報到(完成外國人抵達捷克申報手續)並完成申辦居留證手續. 此居留證可望於60天內領取.  

若長期就學居留簽證申請人,於收到本處之核准函通知之前,已用台灣護照進入申根國免簽證或其他合法簽證先抵捷克觀光旅行(請務必於抵達捷克後3個工作天內至捷克外事警察局相關處所完成外國人抵達捷克申報手續)則請於收到本處之簽證核准函通知後,速至捷克移民司相關處所完成申辦居留證手續. 此居留證可望於60天內領取.  

 

-長期留學簽證( Long term visa for the purpose of stydy)

-長期學習簽證(Long term visa for the purpose of others):

上述2類簽證申請人前來本處領貼之簽證為最長停留至180天有效之簽證. 若需延長停留日期可洽捷克移民司相關處所辦理. 請務必於抵達捷克後3個工作天內至捷克外事警察局相關處所完成外國人抵達捷克申報手續.

!!!注意! 上述2類簽證依法必須於簽證原遞件地點完成簽証領取手續!!!!  

例: 在台灣遞件則在台灣領件,在美國遞件則在美國領件...依此類推.

上述3類簽證申請人收到本處之簽證核准函通知後,請備妥護照及有效期足夠之醫療保險親自前來本處領貼簽證. (保險細節請另詳閱本處醫療保險相關規範)

凡持有上述3類簽證使用人於停留捷克期間,不需另外申請它類簽證即可造訪其他申根國(含瑞士-Switzerland 及列支敦斯登-Liechtenstein).  每180 天 內 最多停留90天整.
