The main aim of his visit was to discuss and coordinate the preparation of the Czech and Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2022 – 2023. He also discussed follow-up of the December European Council and current EU issues such as Multiannual Financial framework, Climate Policy, Single market, Banking Union, Industrial Policy and EU-UK relations after Brexit.

During his stay in Stockholm he met with Eva Sjögren, Director General at Prime Minister’s Office and her team responsible for EU Presidency preparation, with Elinor Hammarskjöld, Director General for Political Affairs at MFA and with Jan Olsson, Special Envoy for Brexit.
