The Czech Collection of Summer Olympic Games Posters Through the Ages

To mark the occasion of the Paris Olympic Games, the National Museum of the Czech Republic has prepared a special exhibition of official Olympic posters, now displayed on the fence of the Czech Embassy in Stockholm at Villagatan 21.

Stockholm started a new Olympic tradition. Ever since the Stockholm Games in 1912, all upcoming Olympic Games have been promoted by posters, many of which have become iconic. Their designs have been influenced by the venue, the style, the graphics, and the fonts of the era, and they always include Olympic symbolism.

The Czech National Museum of the Czech Republic boasts a collection of over 10,000 sports posters – one of the largest collections of its kind in the world. To celebrate Paris 2024, the Museum has curated a selection of the Czech Collection of Summer Olympic Games Posters Through the Ages for this special exhibition.

The exhibition will be on display from the start of the Olympic Games, July 26, until the end of the Paralympic Games, September 8, 2024.
