On Thursday, 26 June 2025, at the Czernin Palace, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský presented the Gratias Agit Awards to important personalities and organisations who have contributed to promoting the good name of Czechia abroad.
Jitka and Jiří Pallas, prominent dissidents and long-time supporters of Czechoslovak and Czech culture in Sweden, received the award for their work in Sweden.
"Your work is an example of great enthusiasm. I am well aware that you are building bridges between different nations and cultures, which is a particularly difficult job these days," Minister Jan Lipavský told the laureates.
In addition to Mr and Mrs Pallas, Jan Lipavský awarded the 2025 Gratias Agit Prize to eight other individuals and one organisation. The prize, first awarded in 1997, is not linked to any financial reward.
