An unforgettable film evening with a selection of four films from the FAMU four project took place at Klara Biografen in Stockholm on 24 January 2024. During this event, we watched award-winning films such as the animated film Dede is dead, the intimate drama Eighth Day, the animated documentary Rising Above, and the modern version of an ancient myth - Electra.
- Dede is dead
The animated film was screened at the Berlinale, where it received a special award. The story tells of a boy who is surprised by the loss of his pet. He discovers, however, that everything is actually quite different.
- Eighth Day
An intimate drama that follows a rebellious girl who decides to leave her community and escape a religious sect as she comes to terms with the dilemmas and obstacles she faces.
- Rising Above
This animated documentary represents an emotional work based on the true story of a woman who survived sexual assault.
- Electra
A modern version an ancient myth, presented at this year's Cannes by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Daria Kashcheeva.

The screening was followed by a Q&A with Petr Pylypčuk, director of ‘Eighth Day.’
