The attractiveness of the project was enhanced by the participation of Tatran Střešovice, 16-time Czech Floorball League Champion, and by the amazing support of the Norwegian Floorball Federation (Norges bandyforbund), which provided the opportunity for Tatran to play some friendly matches against Norwegian teams. The highlight of the Tatran's tour was the match against the representation of Norway within the Norwegian floorball league’s Superfinal, the most prestigious Norwegian floorball event. 

 

During the project were promoted various events held in Prague (primarily the world-known floorball tournaments Czech Open, Prague Games, Prague Wheel Open and the World Floorball Championships 2018, but also Prague International Marathon) and on other places (Cross country skiing race Jizerská 50). The presentations were realized in the cooperation with CzechTourism, the City of Prague and Tatran Střešovice. The last-mentioned presented also a campaign for the prevention of negative relationships among children and teenagers “No to bullying!”.  

 

At all matches, the players of Tatran Střešovice representing the Czech Republic were accompanied by the Chairman of the club Mr. Martin Vaculík, Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Ms. Simona Kratochvílová and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Norway Jaroslav Knot, who held the reception of honour for the young floorball players and distinguished representatives of the Norwegian Floorball Federation. At this event, all parties participating in the pilot project of Sport diplomacy affirmed their sincere interest in further international long-term cooperation in the following years. 

 

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Oslo expresses its thanks to the main partners of the project and to the young players. And what are the results of the matches? Drammen vs. Tatran 11:8, Tatran vs. Jessheim 22:8, selected team of Norway vs. Tatran 7:8.
