Change in quotas for economic migration from 01.07.2025

On 11.06.2025, the government approved by resolution No. 415/2025 an amendment to Government Regulation No. 220/2019 Coll., which establishes new quotas for economic migration with effect from 01.07.2025.

According to the amendment, the maximum number of applications that can be submitted to the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai within a period of 1 year is 410, of which:

- workers included in the Highly Qualified Employee Program or the Key and Scientific Personnel Program: 250

- other workers: 160
