Czech participation at the Global Health Fair in Riyadh

The Global Health Fair 2024 took place at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre between October 21 and 23, 2024. Czechia was represented by twelve companies. Their participation was supported by a delegation of the Ministry of Health, headed by Director General Radek Policar. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assisted through the Export Support Program (PROPED).

The fair was attended by 570 exhibitors from 40 countries and attracted 76,000 visitors. More than 1,200 different medical devices were on display and more than 500 presentations took place during the fair.

Czech company Linet had a separate stand, while others exhibited in cooperation with their local partners.

The participation of Czech companies was supported by an official delegation of the Ministry of Health. On the sidelines of the fair, Director General Radek Policar, together with Ambassador Pavel Kafka and CEO of Linet Tomáš Kolář, met with Saudi Deputy Minister of Health Abdulaziz Hamad Al Ramaih.

DG Policar and Ambassador Kafka also witnessed the signing of a major contract between the Czech company TSE České Budějovice and the Saudi group Hayat National Hospitals. With representatives of the companies, they also visited the newly opened Hayat National Hospital in Riyadh. With the hospital´s management the Czech businessmen discussed the possibilities of cooperation.

Saudi healthcare system is developing rapidly. The total volume of investments in healthcare in Saudi Arabia has been over USD 65 billion in the last 5 years alone, and it is expected to be another USD 16 billion in the next 3 years.
