On Friday, April 5, 2019, Ambassador Miroslav Kosek at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riga met with the students and teachers of the Secondary School of Construction Třebíč.
The Ambassador highlighted and positively evaluated the whole project, the efforts of students and teachers not only in terms of study and technologies, but also from the point of the establishing new relationships with Latvian partner schools and exchanging experiences.
During their first part of the project at Riga Building School, the students dealt with the state and quality of the indoor microclimate and the efficiency of natural ventilation. Among other things, they measured CO2 concentrations with a special instrument, measuring the temperature and humidity in the selected rooms. The measured values were subsequently evaluated according to the valid regulations. They also assessed the airflow in buildings and the possibility of natural ventilation of specific buildings during the internship.
During the second part, the students practiced the assembly of window and door openings, learned to work with modern hole-fill materials and assembly technologies, gaining knowledge that clearly leads to a reduction in energy consumption at building operations.
